There are no words for how amazing our honeymoon was, it was a total dream. When we decided on Greece for our honeymoon, the first thing we did was get a travel agent. We asked around and ended up going with a consultant from Trapped In Paradise Vacations named Terry Ziegler, she did a wonderful job planning our vacation, helping us book excursions and getting us the best deals out there, I would highly recommend her!
We got married on a Saturday and left for our trip on Monday night. Since our first stop was London and that is a 6-hour flight we were able to settle in and get some sleep. When we got there it was Tuesday morning so we began trying to adjust to the time changes. We had a 5-hour layover in the Heathrow airport, I was hoping we could go explore the city a bit but it was not enough time, unfortunately. Luckily the airport is like a mall so we were able to walk around the shops and stretch our legs. We decided to eat at Wagamama which is one of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants and it did not disappoint! If you ever get a chance I would recommend it, we went on the way there and got breakfast and on the way back we got lunch. Because we had so much layover time we tried every restaurant in the airport and walked every inch of it!
Once our layover was over we were off to Athens, the flight was 4 hours and I was able to sleep the whole time. At this point, I was not sure what time it was or what day it was and I was feeling discombobulated but super excited to get there! Once we landed we got our bags and we had a personal driver waiting for us along with another man who gave us the rundown of our itinerary, answered questions and gave us some recommendations on places to eat and things to see! By the time we got to The Philippos Hotel it was around 8:30 pm on Tuesday, we had a beautiful room with a terrace (which you can see in the vlog and photos) and a stunning view of the Acropolis, it was lit up and we were so excited our honeymoon was starting! We had an early flight to Santorini the next morning so we went to one of the restaurants that was recommended to us, it was called the Herodion Hotel and it was only a few minute walk from our hotel. We went up the elevator to the hotel restaurant and we walked out to an outdoor rooftop layout with the Acropolis all light up right in front of us. There was an event going on at the Museum which was also right near the restaurant and there were opera singers outside singing during our whole meal. It was so dreamy and completely unreal, none of it was planned but it was the best first night we could have ever asked for!
The next morning we woke up excited for our next (and longer) adventure in Santorini! Our flight was going to be about 45 minutes so I decided to dress accordingly, I always get cold on planes so I took that into consideration and decided on comfortable pants and a bodysuit for extra comfort! This bodysuit is one of my favorites because I can wear it so many different ways! I got the pants right before the trip and I am so glad that I did! They have a drawstring and are satin, the best part is that they are only $23! Grant it, they are wrinkly from our travels but that did not stop me from wearing them! I also brought along this headband and it was the perfect accessory to go with this look. Outfit details are below along with links to purchase!
