Clearwater/ St. Petersburg/Tampa Travel Guide
My husband and I had a really nice trip to Florida for a much-needed getaway. We try to get there a few times a year and I always look forward to it. The flight from BWI to Tampa is about 2 hours and from there we take a short Uber ride to Steve’s family condo in Clearwater. The travel is super quick and easy which is always a plus when we are just staying for a long weekend. Since I have been there a few times now (a few times with the hubs and a few times with some girlfriends) I have found some great places to each and some really beautiful places to see and beaches to hang out on. Check them all out along with the outfits I wore on the trip! Links to purchase everything is below the photos, hopefully, these looks give you some Springtime inspiration!
Airport Style
I always like to be comfortable when I fly but it is important to me to keep it stylish as well! When I saw this sweatshirt I loved the message on it and the rainbow is such a huge trend this season, it is everywhere. It is also the softest thing ever, I couldn’t pass it up because it is so cute. I got a size medium and have been throwing it on any chance that I can! I was going to throw on a black pair of leggings with it but I felt like white would compliment it so much better, of course, I was not going to wear white denim to travel. I found these white joggers and they went so perfectly! There is a zipper on the ankle, they are super flattering and come in a bunch of colors, too. They are only $20 so a great piece to add to my athleisure collection! My slip on’s are the best, they match everything and are so comfortable. Along with this look, I also linked my luggage. My backpack is perfect for travel and my marble carry on holds so much and matches everything.
Once we got to Tampa we settled into the condo and decided to get something to eat. It was too warm for a sweatshirt and sweatpants so I throw on some jean shorts with my top. We ended up eating sushi at Sushi Spot Noodle World and it was amazing, we got some ramen noodle soup and a few roles of sushi. It was in a very nondescript location – a strip mall but it is going to be a go-to every time we are there. So good!

The next morning we woke up and it was Steve’s birthday so we decided to get breakfast at Maggie Mae’s, I was happy to see they had avocado toast but we ultimately decided that the food was very bland. They did not season either of our meals at all. We added as much salt, pepper, and hot sauce as we could and it ended up being fine but I don’t think that we would go there again! After breakfast we were off to Clearwater beach, it is my favorite location to lay out and relax. I found this bathing suit, the set is under $40 and I think it is so cute! I love how the high waisted bottoms are printed and there is a solid matching top to go with it. The top fits TTS and I sized up in the bottoms. My aviators are also a staple in my accessories all year round, they never go out of style!
After beaching it all day we went home and got ready for Steve’s birthday dinner! Last time I was in town with my girlfriends we went to this amazing Mexican restaurant in St. Petersburg called The Red Mesa Cantina so I decided to take Steve. We had an amazing dinner in their beautiful outside area and had such a great night! I found this off the shoulder red top before we left and it was the perfect look! The ruffles on the sleeves are so fun and it fits TTS. I also picked up these white pants and they are going to be a staple in my spring and summer wardrobe. There is a little bit of distress and it is the perfect amount, these also fit TTS and are under $100. Now on to my accessories…this is the only bag that I brought on the trip because it matches everything. It is a huge spring trend and I found it for only $35! I have had these flip flops for a few seasons now and I love them! They are on the pricier side but I have definitely gotten my money’s worth!

Since we were leaving on Monday we were happy to have another day to relax and hang out. We slept in a bit and ended up going to brunch at Guppy’s, it is a really delicious lunch spot that has all of my favorites! We decided to order the fish tacos, the grilled octopus, and the sweet potato fries, it was all amazing and really hit the spot! This outfit was perfect for brunching, shopping around a little bit and hanging out on the beach! My cover-up is adorable and only $42, it will match anything all summer long and I am so obsessed! This bathing suit is so fun too, it is under $40 and fits TTS. It comes in a blue colorway also. I got these tencel shorts a few years ago and they are a staple in my summer wardrobe, they go with everything and have a relaxed fit that I love. These sunnies and flip flops are accessories that I have had for a while and were them all the time! Links to purchase this whole look are below!
On our last night in Florida, we ended up going to a restaurant called Columbia. The front has valet parking and it doesn’t look like much but when you go inside and see the amazing view of the water – all of that changes! We sat outside and had the most amazing view and meal! They make sangria at your table and all of the food was amazing. I found this blue and white striped jumpsuit for $30 and was so excited, it is super cute and I love the casual yet dressy feel! I added my favorite new purse, my Tory Burch lip flops, my black aviators, monogrammed necklace and these fun tassel earrings! I am obsessed with this look and cannot wait to wear it again!
