I am always on the lookout for pieces that can be dressed up with some jewelry but in general pretty casual. In my daily life, I don’t need to get super dressy but I like to find ways to look cute but still be comfortable, this outfit embodies all of that! The length of this top is perfect and I love the illusion of the double layer, it fits true to size and is very comfortable! It is $32 and comes in a light blue color also which is super cute. It can also be worn with leggings which would be great moving into the Fall so it can be worn over and over again!
I added these big statement earrings with it since the outfit is so basic and I am so in love with them. Since they are neutral they go with so many outfits and they are very lightweight which is very important. They are under $20 and a must have, I find myself grabbing for them all of the time!
These jeans are my favorite denim brand, under $100 and always fit true to size. I highly recommend any pair of jeans in their collection because the price and fit are both on point which is really hard to find! The distress is in just the right places and not too much.
My shoes are one of my favorites right now, if you look at my Instagram you will see that I have been wearing them nonstop. They are really comfortable, fit true to size and come in 3 other colors – I went for a very neutral color which was a great idea considering I slip them on whenever I can and they always work with my outfits!
If any of these pieces are sold out in your size I would totally suggest adding yourself to the waitlist to get an email when they come back in stock because they are all that good!

Weekend Outfit Details
We spent the weekend at Taylors Island with my parents and Steves parents because it was the opening weekend of rockfish fishing. My dad, my husband, and my father inlaw fished all day all weekend and unfortunately did not catch anything (from talking to neighbors and friends it seems like that is the case for everyone else too, ugh) but they had a blast so it is all good.
The drive to my parent’s shore house from our house is about two hours and it is the first time I had been since our wedding. It is hard to believe it has been 10 months but so much has happened between then and now that it feels like much less time. I am not going to go back into detail of everything that has happened but if you are new here we lost our dog a few months back and both of my grandparents in the same month, if you would like CLICK HERE and CLICK HERE to read my posts. My grandparent’s house is half a mile down the street from my parent’s house on TI (Taylors Island) so I know coming here for the first time without them there was going to be tough. As we got closer and closer I became more and more emotional and by the time we were on the street coming up to both houses I was a mess. In the past when we would come, I would be excited because I knew I would see both my parents and my grandparents and hang with them for the whole weekend so this time definitely had a different feel to it. So many memories of my childhood flash in my head all at once and the fact that they are gone became more of a reality than ever. It is the end of an era and as we passed their house to go to my parent’s house it hit me like a ton of bricks. Once we got settled in at my parent’s house my mom and I walked over to my grandparent’s house and once again I fell apart. It felt so odd to be there without them and knowing that they will never be there again was too much to handle. Walking through the house felt different because they were not there with us but I did fell their spirits and do believe in some capacity they were. It was a very emotional but therapeutic weekend that I needed to be able to continue to move forward. We cut a few flowers from my grandparent’s favorite tree and reminisced.
Besides going through an emotional roller coaster we had a beautiful weekend of relaxing family time. It was so nice to spend time with my in-laws, they live in Chicago so any time together is always nice. While the men fished on Saturday the ladies went for a bike ride through Blackwater National Wildlife Refugee, my grandmother used to volunteer there and we have a bench with a plaque going on the grounds with her name on it so we wanted to spend some time there. After that, we came home and just hung out until dinner time. Such a relaxing day and it was much needed for all of us!
Sunday was Earth Day and I was so happy to be at my most favorite place on Earth, it got me thinking a lot about how precious our oceans and land are. I try to do little things every day like use reusable, metal straws, recycle and reuse as much as possible. Yesterday we went on a boat ride and hung out until it was time for my inlaws to go to the airport. We were really excited to get home to Mable. It was a nice long weekend filled with ups and downs but overall I left with a full and grateful heart for the life I am living.
What did you do this weekend?!
Let me know what you think!
