In January of 2018, I decided to become a consultant with Beautycounter. At that point, I was using a lot of their products and purchasing them from my sister. It was right around the same time that I was leaving my 9-5 job to make more time for blogging so it just made sense for me to become a consultant! I knew I wanted to incorporate clean beauty products into my blog and talk about my switch to safer beauty because it was becoming a big part of my life, it was a natural step to take and it has been such a great experience! My upline and mentors are so supportive and really give so many tools to be successful like Facebook groups, informative phone calls and updates on new products and things like that.
If you are looking to add another stream of income to your resume I would highly recommend this option. It does not take many hours a week to be successful and if you are passionate about the products that is half the battle! Everyone signs on for a different reason but the goal is the same, to get safer beauty products in the hands of your friends and families.
Beautycounter has A Never List (below) and it is all the ingredients that will never be in any of their products. It is really reassuring to know that because 1) the products you are putting on yourself and your family are safe 2) you can be proud of sharing it with your friends and family! They also have so many other statistics and pieces of information that are jaw-dropping. Consultants are even fighting to change the law to ban 1,500 chemicals that are questionable or harmful in cosmetics. The US government has banned only 30 of them compared to the European Unions ban on around 1,400! CLICK HERE to read an article all about it!
A big perk to becoming a consultant is the discount on the products as well as being the first to be able to purchase and try new releases before the public. There are also different rankings as you create a team and make a certain amount each month with perks that go along with that! You get your own personal website with a URL and can host socials either online or in person! There is also a backend site you have access to, to track your sales, contact support, place personal or customer orders and it had lots of documents and other information at your disposal.
