I am loving the look of wooden garland on my Christmas tree and on my mantel this year, it has been hard to find so I decided to do it myself! It was pretty east and the garland turned out so pretty!
The Supplies:
I did not link up the string I used, it was way too thick and hard to string through the beads. I linked a thinner string and fishing line as well as beading needles, I was told about this invention after I finished! It would have been very helpful! I got 120 beehive beads and 400 circular beads and ended up with 6 strands of garland (see 2nd to last photo). I had white beads leftover so I made a strand and added it to my mantel.
I spray painted the circular beads and left the beehive beads the natural wood color.
I just put the beads in a box and spray painted them then shook the box and sprayed again until all the beads were covered. Then I let them dry!
Once they were dry I gathered the supplies and started stringing the beads! I made a loop and a knot on the ends so it would be easy to hang them.
XO,
Let me know what you think!
